What it is
Tailwind CSS is WebGrow24's default styling approach for all web projects. The utility-first model means we write classes directly in markup rather than maintaining separate CSS files with meaningful class names that inevitably drift out of sync with the components they style. Tailwind's constraint-based design keeps our UIs consistent: instead of arbitrary values, we work from a configured scale for spacing, colour, typography, and shadows that maps to our brand tokens. This matters for Indian SMB clients who often ask for quick design tweaks post-launch, because the constraint system makes targeted changes without unintended side effects across the site. The purge system removes unused styles at build time, so production CSS bundles are typically under 10 KB uncompressed even on large marketing sites. We configure Tailwind with CSS custom properties for brand colours, which means a single token change propagates across every utility class that references it. For dark mode, we use Tailwind's class-based dark mode strategy, toggling a class on the root element and letting all components respond. Tailwind is not the right tool for email templates or PDF generation where you need inline styles, and it's overkill for marketing sites built with Astro where Scoped CSS or plain CSS modules produce smaller output.
