What it is
Figma is WebGrow24's default design tool for the entire lifecycle of a project: initial wireframes, polished visual designs, interactive prototypes, and developer handoff. The browser-based nature means no one on the client or agency side needs to install software or manage licensing — a link opens the file and everyone is in the same canvas. Real-time collaboration means a client in Mumbai and our design team can be in the same file simultaneously, making feedback sessions fast and eliminating the version-confusion that comes from emailing exported PDF screenshots. For Indian SMBs, the cost model matters: Figma's free tier is generous enough for small teams, and the professional tier per-editor pricing is predictable versus per-seat models from older tools. The developer handoff workflow is where Figma earns its place most clearly. Inspect mode lets developers see exact CSS values, spacing, and asset exports without a separate annotation document. Design tokens defined in Figma sync to code via plugins, which means the colour and typography decisions made in the design phase propagate directly into our Tailwind CSS configuration without manual transcription. We use Figma for UI design of marketing sites and web applications, interactive prototypes that stakeholders can click through before a single line of code is written, design systems that maintain visual consistency across multiple projects, and collaborative workshops where remote teams sketch and refine layouts in real time.
