Deploy WordPress in five minutes
A practical walkthrough of the WordPress one-click install: pick a plan, name your site, point a domain, and you are live in under five minutes.
WordPress is the most-installed CMS in the world. It runs roughly 43% of the web. Here is how to get from "I want a blog" to "blog is live at my-domain.in" in under five minutes on webgrow24.
Before you start
You need:
- A webgrow24 account. Sign up takes a minute — Google or email works.
- A plan that supports apps. The Shared Starter plan is the smallest one
that runs WordPress comfortably.
- (Optional) A custom domain. We will issue free SSL automatically.
Step 1 — Open the marketplace
From the dashboard, click Marketplace. Pick the WordPress card under the CMS category. The install screen opens.
Step 2 — Name your site
Pick a slug. That becomes part of your default URL: <slug>-<indian-name1>-<indian-name2>.webgrow24.in. The two Indian names are auto-generated and unique to your app so collisions are impossible.
If you would rather use your own domain, type it into the Custom domain field instead. We will show you the DNS records to point at the end of the install.
Step 3 — Pick a plan
The default selection is your current hosting plan. If you are on the free trial of nothing, the install will pause and ask you to pick one. The Shared Starter plan is enough for a blog with under 10,000 monthly visitors.
Step 4 — Wait for the deploy
We provision a container, attach a managed MySQL database, set up backups, and issue the SSL certificate. This takes three to five minutes for a fresh install. You will see the progress live in the dashboard.
Step 5 — Log in to WordPress
Once the status flips to Live, click the URL. The first visit shows the default WordPress "Hello world" post. Click Log in in the bottom right and use the admin password we emailed you. Change the password the first time you log in.
What you get out of the box
- Free Let's Encrypt SSL with auto-renewal
- Daily database backups (7 days retention on Shared Starter)
- One-click staging (v1.1 — coming soon)
- Email forwarding at
<anything>@<your-domain>via mail.24mail.in - Hindi + English dashboard
What to do next
- Replace the default theme
- Install the plugins you need (Jetpack, Yoast, Contact Form 7 are the
usual suspects)
- Point your custom domain at the new app
- Set up your admin email so comment notifications reach you
When to upgrade
The Shared Starter plan caps at 25,000 monthly visitors and 5 GB of storage. If you outgrow either, the Shared Business plan doubles both and unlocks daily backups. The WordPress Pro plan adds a managed cache layer and a free CDN.
That is the whole flow. Five minutes from signup to a live WordPress site, hosted in India, with free SSL and daily backups. If you get stuck, our chat is open 24×7 in English and Hindi.
